Intrinsically Safe Camera ISK-25

The ISK-25 camera represents the next generation of explosion-proof cameras offered by Elektrometal SA. Compared to previous cameras, significant emphasis has been placed on reducing weight and power consumption, while simultaneously increasing image resolution. This translates directly into improved ergonomics during installation and setup. This reduced power consumption allows for powering multiple cameras from the same intrinsically safe power supply, or simultaneously powering the camera and an intrinsically safe controller, such as one from the ELSAP family.

The camera is available in 6MP or 8MP (4K) resolution versions. It is equipped with a 2.8mm fixed lens, allowing for monitoring objects at close range. Additionally, it has a built-in illuminator that generates white and IR light – the camera automatically selects the light type depending on the needs.

The camera is equipped with four cable glands: two M25 for loop-through connection to the power supply network. Two M20 for connection to a fiber optic network. An internal fiber optic tray facilitates cable management and protects fiber optic splices. Depending on the type of media converter used, it is available with one or two SFP connectors. Depending on the type of intrinsically safe SFP module used, the transfer speed can be 100 Mbit [op is] or 1000 Mbit [op is]. Optionally, the ISK-25 camera is available without a fiber optic media converter. In this case, communication with an external controller or monitor from the ELSAP family is achieved via intrinsically safe wired Ethernet at 100 Mbit.
