Retrofit solutions for flameproof distribution panels ROK-6EM
Retrofits are comprehensive service solutions that enable the use of modern e-type protection units in existing ROK-6EM or ROK-6EM/A distribution panels. 2 TANGO, e-type vacuum circuit breakers 2 BRAVO and teletransmission equipment in place of the corresponding old-type components (often already withdrawn from production).
Retrofit is a comprehensive service consisting of replacing components of a device or system along with adapting the mechanical structure and electrical wiring to enable the use of modern, currently available solutions in older facilities. The idea of using retrofits is to maintain these devices in operation while maintaining at least their functional and structural features, and in many cases also significantly improving or expanding them.
For distribution panels manufactured by ELEKTROMETAL SA of the following types:
- ROK-6EM (production 2001-2006),
- ROK-6EM/A (production 2006-2012)
Retrofit services are available, including:
- replacing the old type of protection unit (MUPASZ 2001G/GT, MUPASZ COMPACT…, MUPASZ 7.G1, ECOMUZ…, MULTIMUZ 2… - all withdrawn from production) with a modern e-type protection unit 2 TANGO,
- replacing the old type vacuum circuit breaker (VD4 in variants used until 2003 and until 2015, VC-1, SION) with a new type of e-type vacuum circuit breaker 2 BRAVO,
- application or replacement of teletransmission equipment in the range including modules or components for cooperation with optical fibre buses in the "op is" standard (ETHERNET or RS 422/485) or intrinsically safe wired buses of the "i" category and ” (RS 232/422/485).
Depending on the type and design of the distribution panel (its factory equipment), the individual services mentioned above can be combined in various combinations.
Retrofits carried out by ELEKTROMETAL SA are compliant with the requirements of the PN-EN 60079-18 standard concerning the performance of modernization and repairs of explosion-proof construction equipment. The adopted procedure for performing retrofits has been approved by the State Mining Authority as the market regulator for products covered by the conformity assessment system, including products subject to the ATEX and EMC directives.
