LAMP LPI-14

LPI-14 lamps are designed and optimized for use in low-level mechanized wall supports.
- compact dimensions – thickness less than 4cm,
- light weight – approx. 3 kg,
- housing made of antistatic plastic with increased durability,
- lampshade made of impact-resistant polycarbonate,
- power cables equipped with quick connectors,
- Possibility of loop-through power supply – each lamp is equipped with two quick connectors,
- Optionally, the lamp base can be made of acid-resistant stainless steel.
Reduced dimensions, especially the height below 4 cm, eliminate the need to make a recess in the section canopy. Electric cables on quick connectors combined with low weight simplify and shorten the assembly process. The lighting system using LEDs with directional lenses ensures proper lighting of the workspace. During normal operation, two white diodes illuminate the crew passage as well as the scraper conveyor and the face of the wall.
The lamps are available in four versions differing in power and additional functions. The LPI-14/.../ SMART version is equipped with optical signalling of the pressure status in the mechanised longwall section. Monitoring the pressure in the support cylinders of the mechanised longwall section enables the detection of incorrect and therefore potentially dangerous operating conditions of the section. Pressure that is too low may indicate incorrect section expansion, while an increase above the nominal value may indicate excessive rock mass pressure. These are incorrect conditions, about which the crew controlling the operation of the longwall complex must be informed in a clear and transparent manner. This task is facilitated by the optical signalling of the status of the mechanised longwall support, built into the LPI-14/.../SMART lamp. If the monitored pressure for at least one cylinder exceeds the declared range, the white LED responsible for lighting the crew passage is switched off. In its place, coloured diodes are switched on, illuminating the entire space under the lamp. The colour of the light clearly indicates the pressure status in the support cylinders. The design of the optical system allows for independent pressure signaling for both actuators separately. The diode responsible for illuminating the wall front is on all the time, regardless of the monitored pressure value.
The optical signaling system of the mechanized wall support status uses data transmitted via radio from an external monitoring or diagnostic system for correct operation. The LPI-14/.../ SMART lamp is compatible (cooperates) with the EH-PressCater pressure monitoring system of the KOPEX group.
